Achievement of CMMI Level 3 certification:: Successful compliance to the stringent international model in Quality
NEW DELHI, May. 08, 2009 YMSLI has today been certified at Maturity Level 3 of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). It has helped enhance YMSLI’s capability in linking management and software engineering activities to business objectives whilst ensuring that products and services surpass client’s expectations.
The appraisal covered various projects from all software solution areas viz Lotus-Domino, JAVA, MS Navision and Oracle. Projects included customized software & product development and maintenance & support areas. This rating strengthens YMSLI’s commitment to develop and deliver the highest quality software products and services to clients.
YMSLI achieved this milestone after unremitting support by consultants MQAS and a rigorous assessment by independent third party ‘Taiwan Advanced Software Co. Ltd.’ (SEI Partner). The SEI is a federally funded research and development center operated by Carnegie Mellon University of Pittsburgh, PA.
About CMMI ML 3:
CMMI is a software capability maturity model defined by SEI Carneige Mellon University US. It was joint effort by US Dept of Defense, Industry and Academics. The CMMI quality certification is more elaborate and extensive than CMM. It has 22 process areas compared to 18 for CMM and 425 practices as compared to 316 in CMM. It encourages process improvement in organization of any structure. This model focuses on integrated product and process development.
