Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) was a totally new initiative of setting up a complete assembly and manufacturing unit of Yamaha Motors in Philippines to cater the growing two wheeler market of the country. As the plant was in its inception stage, to cater day to day activities, YMPH decided to implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV Finance Module. One of the major deciding factors in favor of Microsoft Dynamics NAV was the short implementation period for the Finance Module.

Moreover in future, it has the capability to handle other functionality like sales, purchase, inventory, warehouse management etc. and hence can be developed as a complete ERP package when required.

With the use of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, the finance department found it easy to use and access relevant up-to-date information when required. This has allowed YMPH to not only fulfill their day to day activities but also close their financial books in time every month and generate necessary financial reports.

Pre-Implementation scenario

No accounting software available and the need to develop resources in-house arose.

Post-Implementation Scenario

The plan made a clear definition of who had to perform what and where. Work was equally distributed amongst team. Both Fixed Asset & Finance modules were successfully implemented in a stunning time span of 18 days & the users started doing live entries on 19th day.

YMPH user base was very adaptable to change and there was a profound commitment from the senior management which was vital for the project's success.
